Schottlander
Bernard Schottlander was born in Mainz, Germany in 1924, and moved to England in 1939. After having served in the British Army in India, he became a welding technician. He eventually started an arts degree at Leeds College of Art, followed by education at the Anglo-French Art Centre in St John’s Wood, made possible by a scholarship.
