The Patera lamp, a unique pendant light by Louis Poulsen.
If you’re looking for a pendant light with a unique look and high-quality design, the Patera lamp is the perfect choice. The pendant, designed by Øivind Alexander Slaatto, is inspired by nature, specifically the so-called Fibonacci structure, which can be found in sunflowers, shells, snail shells and cauliflowers. His ultimate aim was to achieve the look of a three-dimensional Zudoku. Made from chrome-plated metal, this pendant light produces a pleasant, glare-free light. We recommend using the lamp in the living room, hallway or bedroom, and in larger rooms that lack a sense of life and light.

PH lamps are renowned for their glare-free lighting and attractive design. But how do you know which bulb to choose? What size, model, colour and design? Fortunately, Poul Henningsen has made things easier for us by naming the lamps after their size. A PH5 500 pendant light has a diameter of 50 cm, a PH 4/3 one of 40 cm, and so on, as size and model are linked, to make it as clear as possible.

The artichoke, or the pine cone – as most people know it – is a very well-known lamp. It was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the Langelinie Pavilion restaurant in Copenhagen, where it still hangs today. The PH Artichoke is characterised by its sculptural design. She is world-famous and is regarded as an international design icon. The luminaire consists of 72 louvres arranged in 12 rows, the positioning of which ensures completely glare-free light regardless of the viewing angle. To ensure a high standard of quality, much of the production is still carried out by hand. The lamp is a decorative piece of art, available in copper, stainless steel and white. As it is a heavy lamp, it is secured with steel wire, and the smallest sphere weighs around 22.5 kg. Artichokes are unique pendants, and we recommend that you take special care of them – for example, by arranging for a particularly gentle and personalised delivery by our own staff, and by having the owner’s name and contact details engraved on the top plate and, if desired, on one of the leaves. Choose the right PH-Lampe glass pendant light
Are you as mad about Poul Henningsen’s glass pendants as we are? There’s a huge range to choose from, and with all their well-known and unique designs, it can be difficult to find the right one. We are here to help you, advise you and guide you, so that your investment in lighting is the right one.\ The glass pendant lights have a retro look with a touch of modernity. They are all unique in their own way, as the glass is hand-blown, which places very high demands on quality. Many people use the Stammekronen or Akademi pendant lights above their dining table or coffee table. They are compact, yet produce a lot of light, and look very decorative in the evening when dimmed slightly.\ Many people who find the PH5 too large and the stem shades too small opt instead for the PH 4½–4 glass pendant lights. If you want to have two or more side by side – for example, above the kitchen table – a 2/1 pendant light is definitely recommended.
If you’re looking for something in between, the PH 3/2 glass pendant light is the best choice. It’s just the right size for any space and looks incredibly elegant over a small dining table, in a cosy corner or even in the bedroom. In short, it’s a light fitting that’s perfect for a large house or a small flat – an absolute must-have!

Clara von Zweigbergk & Cirque Pendlen
Clara von Zweigbergk is a multidisciplinary designer from Sweden who, over the course of her long and impressive career, has designed a wide variety of things. She trained at Beckmans College of Design in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, and went on to study at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California.
She has worked with several large companies and, amongst other things, helped to design the visual identity of the Danish company HAYs. She was part of the Stockholm-based Rivieran Design Studio and worked for four years at Lissoni Associati in Milan, where she held the position of senior graphic designer. She is now back working in her home town of Stockholm, teaching at the same school where she trained.
In the world of lighting, she is best known for her collaboration with Louis Poulsen, where she created the wonderful and consistently artistic Cirque pendant series. The range comprises a wide variety of different models, all of which share the same shape but combine a variety of colours and materials. There really is a Cirque for every occasion – and there’s bound to be one that suits your home, your personality and your temperament!
The beautiful Enigma lamps, pendant lights 425 & 545.
The stylish Enigma pendant lights are available in three sizes – 425 mm, 545 mm and 825 mm – and come in three different sizes. 4, 5 and 7 rings, which give the lamp its distinctive and highly captivating appearance. It has an elegant and lightweight design and provides glare-free light. The pendant lights fit perfectly into Louis Poulsen’s design aesthetic, as they are a reinterpretation of the three-shade range.
Toldbod or PH Snowball – which trailer should I choose?
The Toldbod 155/220 glass pendant light, launched in 2002, was designed to resemble the PH elliptical reflector. There are many Toldbod models, as well as a wide range of colour combinations and materials.
The PH Kuglelamel pendant light – or ‘snowball’, as most people know it – can be used for general lighting in smaller rooms. The positioning of the eight shades and the curvature of the luminaire create a distinctive lighting effect. The PH Ball light emits a diffused, glare-free light. The lamp is a work of art in its own right and looks great wherever you put it!

The VL45 pendant light is available in diameters of 37 cm and 25 cm. It’s beautiful and simple, and fits in perfectly with the Nordic style. The VL38 is based on the original lamps used at the Funkhaus in Copenhagen. A lovely detail of this light fitting is that the pendant tube is made of brass, which gives it a more luxurious look. The shade is made of hand-blown glass and casts a beautiful, diffused light.
