Toldbod 400 Pendant White - Louis Poulsen

The Toldbod 400 pendant light in white is just one of four new sizes launched in 2018. The original Toldbod 120 from 2009 measures 12 cm and was designed to hang individually or in small groups above a table. With a diameter of 40 cm, a Toldbod 400 pendant light can be placed very advantageously above a larger table, for which it has sufficient luminosity. If you have a long table or a meeting room, it also looks beautiful when several lights are placed in a line. This creates a structured appearance while illuminating a larger area.
Based on a lighting concept by Poul Henningsen, which was originally created for street lighting, a pendant light was developed with pleasant light that does not dazzle. The uniform and circularly symmetrical lighting is perfect for both focused work lighting and the general ambience of the room.
The simple design is in line with Louis Poulsen's philosophy: "The simpler a design, the more user-friendly it is". Together with Poul Henningsen's concept, they have developed a timeless classic that continues to fit well into a modern and minimalist room concept.
