Parrot XXL – Handcrafted pendant light made from raffia and abacá
The Parrot XXL pendant light is a real eye-catcher: its exceptionally large lampshade has been handcrafted from raffia and abacá, a plant native to East Asia. Overlapping coloured strands form a unique pattern that reflects the cultural diversity of basket weaving.
The black fabric suspension and metal canopy create an elegant contrast. A separate diffuser on the inside of the lampholder ensures glare-free light. With an external dimmer and the appropriate bulb, the light can be adjusted to create the perfect atmosphere.
Designed by Jette Scheib and produced by the French manufacturer Forestier, Parrot XXL combines traditional craftsmanship, colourful design and high-quality materials.
