Nyhavn Wall Lamp Copper - Louis Poulsen

The Nyhavn wall lamp in copper was designed by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær for Louis Poulsen. The lamp’s wide shade ensures a comfortable and wide-reaching downward-facing light. The inside of the screen is painted matte white to ensure uniform soft illumination.

The three anti-glare rings ensure that a small amount of light is directed upward and help create a decorative illumination of the lamp itself when it’s turned on.
The lamp itself is fabricated from untreated spun copper. This causes the surface to change over time and achieve a verdigris finish. This patination process might already have started when the product is delivered.
A classic copper lamp that is well-known and beloved.
