FL/Y pendant light, yellow, Ø 52 cm – Kartell

The modern FL/Y pendant light, designed by Ferruccio Laviani, shown here in
yellow, is certainly a feast for the eyes above the dining table.
With its simple, almost hemispherical
design, the FL/Y pendant adds a fresh yet stylish touch in eleven different colour
variants. Thanks to the versatile polycarbonate
material, these range from bold red, yellow and orange tones to
subtle blue-green shades.
The fantastic FL/Y captures the light and directs it downwards without
glare, whilst the coloured lampshade (in the transparent
versions) casts a wonderful play of light upwards.
To the imaginative observer, the FL/Y appears to float in the room
like a shimmering soap bubble, enchanting with
iridescent reflections.
If a slightly more neutral lighting effect is desired, the two
opaque versions in black and white are available, in which
the coloured light component is omitted.
Please note – Kartell recommends installing the light and
only then removing the protective film; this makes it easy to avoid
damage caused by scratches on the light’s surface.
