Aria – Striking designer pendant light by Zaha Hadid

The Aria pendant light by Slamp captivates with its radial structure comprising 50 ‘arms’, which form a striking three-dimensional shape. The light is made from specially manufactured technopolymers. Lentiflex® provides a warm, even light, whilst Cristalflex® lends the light the elegant grace and impact resistance of glass. This allows Aria to be showcased as an impressive design statement in both modern and timelessly furnished interiors.

The extraordinary design is the work of the renowned architect and Pritzker Prize winner Zaha Hadid, whose dynamic and fluid design language is recognised worldwide. Among other honours, Hadid was named one of the ‘100 most influential people in the world’ by TIMES magazine and was appointed a ‘Dame Commander of the British Empire’ by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. Her style, described as “the elegance of ordered complexity and seamless fluidity”, is also reflected in the Aria pendant light.

The Italian manufacturer Slamp, founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani, specialises in innovative materials. The technopolymers developed in-house enable lighting designs and lighting effects that would be impossible to achieve with conventional materials.
