Marcel Wanders was born in Boxtel in Holland.
In 1988 he graduated as a designer at Hogeschool Voor Kunsten – Institute of Arts in Arnheim in 1988.
In 1995 he opened his studio in Amsterdam, and in 1996 his iconic chair “Knotted” became a huge success.
Today he has a design studio called Powerhouse Studio, where he works as a product and interior designer, and works together with Kartell, Alessi, Bisazza, KLM, Flos, Swarowski, Boffi, Puma and many more.
