Vilhelm Wohlert designed the Wohlert pendant lamp in 1959. He was commissioned by Louis Poulsen to design a pendant light for different room sizes. Furthermore, installation, light source change and maintenance had to be easy. Previously known as Satellit on the Danish market, the Wohlert pendant light is now internationally named Wohlert after the designer.
The pendant light is suitable for general lighting. The matt glass surface provides a uniform and diffused light. The opening in the lower part of the luminaire provides direct, downward light.
