The PH Pendant Light Shades of Red was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen (1894-1967), who was a pioneer in lighting design and devoted most of his life to taming electric light.
The world-famous PH 5 was designed as a response to the continuous changes that the incandescent bulb underwent in terms of shape and size. Regardless of how the lamp is installed and which light source is used, the PH 5 is completely glare-free.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this timeless icon, Louis Poulsen has launched the PH 5 in the same exciting colour palette as the PH 5 Mini, which at 30 cm in diameter is a scaled-down version of the original 50 cm PH 5 introduced in 2017.
The PH 5 is available in a wide range of beautiful colours and the different colour tones of the lamp's five lampshades create a dynamic graduated effect, which enhances the visual impact of the pendant.
