DCW Lampe Gras 317 table lamp: Functional elegance meets timeless design

Please note: The lampshade is supplied in untreated raw copper and has not yet developed a patina upon receipt. The natural patina only begins to form after unpacking and develops as a result of exposure to air, humidity and temperature. After just a few days, the copper may visibly darken and develop the characteristic raw copper look.

The DCW Lampe Gras 317 table lamp in black/raw copper is based on a design by Bernard-Albin Gras from 1922. Originally developed for offices and industrial use, the Lampe Gras series continues to impress to this day with its simple, robust and ergonomic design. Its innovative construction, with no visible screws or welded seams, has made it an icon of functional design.

Today, the collection is manufactured by DCW éditions Paris and ranks among the world’s most sought-after design classics. Le Corbusier incorporated the lights into his projects at an early stage – a testament to the timeless quality and high design standards of the DCW Lampe Gras series.

The lampshade, made of raw copper, changes naturally over time. If you wish to accelerate the oxidation process, you can place the lampshade outdoors in the shade for a few days.
