L 840 SC Smart LED outdoor wall light with iHF Sensor – controllable via Bluetooth and app

The L 840 SC LED outdoor wall light from the STEINEL Connected Lighting series combines elegant design with highly intelligent sensor technology. Its understated, modern appearance enhances any house façade without revealing at first glance the innovative technology concealed within.

The integrated, energy-efficient LEDs produce a warm white light that radiates decoratively upwards and downwards, creating atmospheric yet functional outdoor lighting. The technology is encased in a UV-resistant plastic housing in a sophisticated anthracite finish, which, together with the white diffusers, ensures a timeless appearance.

The intelligent high-frequency sensor (iHF) is integrated invisibly within the light. It detects movement within a radius of up to 5 metres and specifically distinguishes human movement patterns from interference sources such as small animals or moving leaves. The sensor emits electromagnetic waves and analyses their echo – if a relevant change is detected, the light switches on automatically.

All functions of the L 840 SC can be conveniently controlled via Bluetooth using a smartphone or tablet. Configuration is carried out via the free STEINEL Smart Remote control app for iOS and Android. In addition to individual settings for individual lights, group switching, an extended range setting and the adjustment of main light and night light levels are possible.
