The Gravel picture frame consists of two completely clear acrylic sheets that are twisted together with sculptural brass brackets. The metal is cast in an intricate mould that makes it look like natural stone. To hang a picture, the brass brackets are mounted on the wall, then the picture is carefully pushed between the two acrylic sheets and then secured by placing the two moulded brass caps on the brackets. The clear acrylic glass and the ingenious mounting method create a transparent and modern look, eliminating the need for heavy framing to steal the picture and allowing the subject to take centre stage.
