Cestita Batería ToGo table lamp Wood/White Opal Glass is an atmospheric light designed by Miguel Milá in 1962. While walking through the streets of Barcelona in the 1960s, Miguel came across a discarded glass ball in front of a glass shop – he immediately fell in love with his find, which later became the heart of the Cesta series. Cesta is the Spanish word for basket – designed to hold the "fragile" glass ball.
The wireless version is charged via USB, and the light can be easily carried around the house wherever atmospheric lighting is needed. The built-in LED is adjustable to three different brightness levels and can be used for approx. 5 hours at peak power, 12 hours at medium power and up to 24 hours at minimum power.
The glass shade is supported by a beautiful stand, which is made by European craftsmen using traditional steam bending techniques and assembled by hand. Its distinctive form and function remain popular in modern décor.
Although the simple design has been around for more than 50 years, the light is perfectly suited to a modern interior. The soft light creates a cosy atmosphere in the home, where the light can be used as both a table lamp and a floor lamp. The design of the light makes it easy to move the atmospheric light around on the shelves in the living room, on the floor in the bedroom or home office.
It is available in two different sizes, the large Cesta and the small Cestita, as well as in two versions, wood and metal.
