Caravaggio Read Wall Lamp Opal Glass - Fritz Hansen

Cecilie Manz’s overall goal with this elegant collection was to create a simple and soft shape. A design icon since its launch in 2005, the Caravaggio family has grown to include table and floor lamps in a range of sophisticated colours and finishes and is more popular today than ever.

During the design process the lamp evolved through a series of different shapes, resulting in Caravaggio’s softly feminine lines. The depth of the shade ensures that the pendant doesn’t create glare regardless of where you place it. Furthermore, Caravaggio Read is equipped with small slits in the top of the lampshade to ensure an upward-facing light.
The Caravaggio Read wall lamp in Opal Glass is delivered with two different mounting brackets. The large one can be mounted over a socket, so the lamp has no visible wiring, whereas the small one includes a cable. The switch is mounted under the bracket to ensure that it is discreet yet easily accessible.
The Caravaggio Read in opal glass can be recognised by the fact that it produces a direct light without glare. Plus, it contributes to the general illumination of the room by providing upward-facing light.
