The AJ floor lamp was designed in 1960 by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu). The lamp formed part of the hotel’s design concept. Several of the hotel’s products are now regarded as design icons, and the AJ lamps in particular are world-famous. To mark the 50th anniversary of the AJ family, five new colour variants were produced. The new colours have been selected in line with Arne Jacobsen’s updated colour concept.
A truly unique profile that is recognised all over the world. The swivelling head of the AJ floor lamp has a distinctive, asymmetrical shape that defines the light’s characteristics. The base of the floor lamp features a hole, which lends the design elegance and lightness. With its unique design language, the AJ floor lamp stands out as a modern classic.
