Vipp wall lights: industrial heritage, soft light
It all began with a pedal bin for a hairdressing salon in Copenhagen. Today it is on display at MoMA, and the philosophy behind it also characterises Vipp’s wall lights: authentic materials, clean lines, made to last.
The collection was created in response to rigid wall lighting. Instead of simply placing a light on the wall, Vipp brings movement into the room. Swivelling arms and rotating heads direct the light exactly where you need it: towards the bed, over the reading chair, onto the desk. Perforated shades and frosted glass create a soft, delicately diffused glow that gives rooms a calm and inviting atmosphere.
The wall lights are available in various sizes, ranging from the generous model with a long arm to the compact version for narrow alcoves. Added to this is the small wall spotlight, which blends into every room – from the hallway through the kitchen to the bathroom – and is available in white, black or warm grey.
All models share the same design language: powder-coated metal, precise detailing, a five-year guarantee. It is Scandinavian design that doesn’t need to be flashy to make an impact; it is functional in everyday life and timeless in style.
Less gesture. More light.**
