FDB Møbler was founded as a design studio in 1942. From the beginning, the founders distanced themselves from the heavy, uncomfortable furniture of the time. They wanted furniture that gives life at home room to unfold.
How much space do you need to stretch out your arms? How should a backrest be shaped so you can lean back and relax? Designers at FDB Møbler have been asking questions like these since the very beginning.
Behind the furniture are designers such as Børge Mogensen, Poul M. Volther, Salto & Sigsgaard and Thomas E. Alken. Each signature brings its own story. What they share is a commitment to form, function and craftsmanship.
FDB Møbler focuses on clean lines and furniture for everyday life. Some models are 60 to 70 years old and still feel contemporary. The wood is FSC-certified, and everything is tested at the Technological Institute before it reaches you.
