A fine example of this is the Terho collection by Maija Puoskari. Inspired by the shape of an acorn – ‘Terho’ is the Finnish word for acorn – this lamp combines FSC-certified wood with hand-blown glass. The soft, organic shapes reflect Nordic nature and create a harmonious balance between craftsmanship and modern simplicity.

The Liuku series also highlights Mater’s special connection with natural materials. Made from FSC-certified alder wood, it combines traditional woodworking with elegant glass shades and offers a wide range of possibilities for creating personalised lighting arrangements.
