To mark the 75th anniversary of the iconic Workshop lamp, Made by Hand presents the Workshop Anniversary Edition – a special reinterpretation of a true design classic.

Originally designed by Axel Wedel Madsen in 1951, the lamp was developed to provide craftspeople with optimal working light in the workshop. With its clean lines and functional design, it continues to embody the essence of Scandinavian design to this day: minimalist, durable and timeless.

For the Anniversary Edition, the lamp has been given a subtle update. A solid brass detail at the top of the shade lends the design a new sense of sophistication and highlights the high-quality craftsmanship without altering its original character. The collection is complemented by new glossy colour options in cream, brown and beige, which lend this classic piece a modern yet elegant look.

Crafted from hand-spun aluminium in Denmark, the Workshop lamp remains true to its roots, combining tradition with contemporary design. The result is a collection that brings together the past and the present in a particularly harmonious way.
