Another great addition to the aesthetic Globe series from Verner Panton is now available in a mini version

Since the lamp was designed and conceived back in 1969, Globe has stood as one of the highlights of Danish design. The mastermind behind the incomparable lamp is the iconic Danish lighting master Verner Panton. Panton's ambition for the Globe was to design a lamp that could catch the eye and unify a room, whether it hung alone or in clusters. This goal has resulted in an incredibly versatile lamp model with a clear and concise design language that is both simple in its design and detailed in its decor, and that fits into countless spaces.

At 28 centimetres in diameter, VP Globe 28 is the smallest lamp in the Globe series. The pendant makes a beautiful figure on its own, but can also easily be clustered with the other Globen lamps, which are available in several different models with varying sizes, colours and materials. This creates an exciting interplay between different sizes and coherent design.

The decorative pendant is named after the characteristic globe shape, which in this version comes in transparent, crystal clear acrylic with five internal reflectors suspended by three steel chains. The clear and shiny aluminium colour scheme is complemented by splashes of red and blue in a beautiful shading that is all the more striking because the colours are used sparingly. When you switch on the lamp, the bulb lights up and reflects the insides of the aluminium reflectors, creating indirect lighting that is distributed softly and glare-free throughout the room.
